When it’s worth a closer look

Moments founders recognise

  • Expanding abroad

The business is entering new markets, and ownership and control haven’t caught up.

  • Bringing in investors or partners

New shareholders change who decides what, and how the family’s position is protected.

  • Thinking about what comes next

You’re starting to ask who will lead, who will own and what still depends on you.

The outcome

After the review, you’ll know

Specific to your situation, and agreed in scope before the work begins.

  1. How your business, personal wealth and family arrangements connect.

  2. Where growth has outpaced your structure, and what that exposes.

  3. What to put in place first, while the important decisions are still yours.

What you receive

Clarity you can use for the next decision

  • Connected overview

How the relevant businesses, assets, ownership arrangements and family responsibilities fit together.

  • Readiness findings

Gaps, dependencies and unanswered questions that could affect continuity or future plans.

  • Prioritised action plan

What needs attention, which decisions come first, and where existing advisors or specialists should be involved.

Scope is agreed at the outset. Implementation and specialist advice are defined separately.

How it works

A standalone starting point

  1. Agree the scope

Discuss your circumstances, the questions to explore and who should take part.

  2. Bring the picture together

Review the agreed information, involving your existing advisors where useful.

  3. Decide what comes next

Discuss the findings and whether further work would add value.

Specialist implementation and principal counsel on retainer are separate engagements. Neither is a condition of the review.

Common questions

Is this only for founders planning to step back?

No. Many founders use the review while the business is still growing, so the structure keeps pace with it.

Can my existing advisors be involved?

Yes. We work alongside your existing advisors and agree who is involved as part of the scope.

What does it cost, and how long does it take?

Fees, timing and deliverables are agreed with you before any work begins, based on the size and complexity of your arrangements.

How is my information handled?

We agree how documents will be shared before any detailed information is exchanged. Your first message only needs a general outline.
